We had a wonderful weekend at a somewhat-annual campout that is sponsored by a couple from our church. They open their home and grounds to everyone from church and any guests they might bring. Some of us camp, some just come in every day. We eat and talk and make lemonade and have Bible study and Sabbath services there. It is such a perfect atmosphere; the kids get a chance to just be with one another for long periods of time, a precious commodity. I left my purse in the dining room for all three days, without any fear at all that anything would be stolen. Everyone helps in herding the small children, in preparing the meals, in helping and loving one another. Coming back to "the real world" is such a letdown.
Still, it's an exciting day today, as I head back to school for the district-wide employee meeting and then a day of getting the library ready for the back-to-school social tonight. Lots to accomplish today!
