Catching Up
May. 24th, 2010 08:52 amToday was supposed to be my catch-up-on-rest day, but I suspect it's going to become my "I need to do laundry, shopping, and other random things" day. But it's all for the good, I'm sure.
Life continues apace. We spent the weekend at McCormick's Creek State Park for Pentecost weekend with our brethren from Lafayette and Terre Haute. It was good to see everyone! We had lovely weather for it, too. Unfortunately, there was a mishap when one of our brethren broke his heel...what a horrible thing to happen. We're all praying that he recovers as quickly as possible.
Meanwhile, being the mother of a teenager is proving to be tiresome at times and is, I'm sure, rendering my hair-do ever more silver. He seems to find that his own special recipe is obnoxious and endearing in equal measure, so that I never know what he's up to. We'll get it figured out one of these days, I suppose (probably when he's 23 and not living at home).
