Houses and Careers
Feb. 16th, 2011 11:32 amWe've entered the house-hunting phase, which is kind of exciting. Of course, this means I will be doing a lot of falling in love and then falling out of love again over the next few months. Finding a house is like dating: you look at pictures, you try to imagine how it will look next to your furniture, and then you have a few blissful moments before you realize it's all hopelessly wrong. But it's exciting! Of course, that means I have to get serious about getting this house ready to put on the market...and I have no idea how I will do that. I'm still plugging away at just getting my homework done and staying on top of the general housework!
In other news, I'm a little frightened because the Youngest Boy announced that--during a recent career exploration session at his school--he had decided he'll probably be a librarian because it was the highest-paying of the jobs that the session recommended for him. I'm a little wary of even asking what other jobs were suggested! : D
