Jan. 24th, 2010 09:38 pmSome days just flow, one thing into another, and make you feel at ease. That was Saturday for me, though Thursday and Friday were a great introduction to it. Sabbath was so lovely--new faces, some well-loved faces we hadn't seen for a while; our little church filled and bustling and lively. We had enough snacks, something I always worry about when we have lots of guests, and there was enough coffee to go around, and I saw lots of interacting and did lots of interacting myself.
And then even more goodness, with dinner with our dear friends the Washburns at Pizza King and watching Kate laugh so hard she couldn't breathe. Even if it was at my expense, it was just so fun!
Sunday couldn't possibly compare, filled as it has been with chores and accomplishing and failing to accomplish. But I am so glad that every once in a while there are days to clutch to my heart, so that when darker times come I can think back and say, "Remember? Remember that good day? Remember laughing and talking and feeling good? It will happen again. Just hold on."
