Productive
Mar. 7th, 2011 09:36 pmLet's talk about the house that Chris has picked out for us. It needs a lot of TLC--not big stuff, just little acts of kindness--but it is amazing. Bigger than this one. A beautiful balance of open and closed spaces. A fourth bedroom we can provide for travelers and visitors. More counterspace. An open floor plan that will allow for wonderful entertaining. And I think it has a thriving rosebush.
Of course, nothing worthwhile comes easily, and there are hurdles. But we are (somewhat) patiently jumping them as they come and trying to stay the course. And it's a rollercoaster, trying to jam everything on the to-do list into the time I have. Up days. Down days. Days when it seems hopeless. Days when choosing paint colors is exciting. Days when I remember it's not ours just yet and I've never yet seen the rooms with bright sunlight or artificial light.
But today is one of the good days. I got things done at work. I wrote a paper before work. I squeezed in a visit to the chiropractor and a little grocery shopping. I ate brie and crackers for breakfast (don't judge). And the boys and I got a lot done downstairs in terms of sorting and packing. Today? It seems doable.
