Awkward and Sweet

That sums up life these days. Lots of stretching beyond my comfort zone--for instance, yesterday I had to hunt down a teacher friend who could load a filmstrip into a filmstrip projector, because I had never had to set one up before. So, awkward = not knowing what I was doing, but sweet = having friends at school to help.

Somehow I keep thinking that it's almost Thanksgiving, and of course it's not...the holiday has come and gone, with its attendant days off and plethora of food. Now it's the long slog to the end of the semester, which is going to have to involve cake this year because finishing this semester will be a celebration!

And I just had a discussion defending the book about dragons that a student at school recommended I read. It's hard to live with those who must be literal, sometimes.
