Day 07 - A Moment

What, one moment? I'm an overachiever, so here are several moments that make my life sweeter:

• A shy student who has never responded to my morning greeting blushing, stopping, and returning it one morning.
   
• My oldest son reaching for my hand as we pray in the morning.
   
• My youngest son calling, "Don't forget to be awesome!" as he walks to the bus stop.
   
• A student recognizing me at the grocery store, her mouth gaping, and then (still agape) walking to give me a huge hug.
   
• Waking up to realize that I forgot to start the coffee the night before...and then realizing that the Husband of Awesomeness set it to start for me.
   
• A special needs student bowing and saying, "Ni hao," adding, "Just like you taught me, Mrs. Rowland."
   
• Getting a note in the mail from a friend, just because.
   
• Seeing a whole second-grade class, heads bent over crayon and paper, creating something lovely based on a story.
   
• Lunch with friends at school, talking about everything.
   
• Being inducted into Phi Theta Kappa for academic excellence.
   
• Writing something and finding out it touched someone and made their day better, deeper, brighter.
