Things I Love About Chris: Counting Up, #5

What I Have to Put Up With

#5: He puts up with me (mostly).

Let's face it, if I had to live with me--you know what I mean--I would drive me crazy. And I would probably be snappish about it, too. Oh, I have my good days. And then I have the days where I take pictures of Chris every five minutes. Or grouse about having to do actual work. Or forget things like, five seconds after he told me.

And Chris puts up with it. We have our little "discussions" every once in a while, but I feel so safe and secure with him because I know that we will always come back together. Because he puts up with me so well!

I am so glad you and Chris get along. God usually puts people together that help one another.

My gripe? I want to give you an assignment. I would like your next post to be you writing ten great things about Katherine. No snide remarks or excuses about Katherine allowed. Will you do that for me?

I can and will do that, but I also have to counter with this: I rarely snidely gripe about myself. I tell the truth about the weaknesses as I see them. : )

I understand, I snide wasn't a good word to use. I just want to hear some positives. I think you are way more fab than you give yourself credit for, as are most of us. :)

EXCELLENT!

When we were at the kids' home, we were discussing a woman who was settling for a man who we all thought was horrid (because he is), because she'd rather do that than be alone. My husband remarked that he hoped I wouldn't do such a thing if he died first. I told him that I couldn't possibly consider another husband; it's taken me all this time to get him trained--I don't have the energy to train another husband! Our son laughed and informed me that I haven't gotten Dad trained yet. So true! The man is untrainable. Just like me.

I put up with him; he puts up with me. And we even find humor in our failings.
